Alligator Locking Jaw Snap – The ORIGINAL Italian Bronze
The ORIGINAL, hard-to-find, made-in-Italy, Alligator “Locking Jaw” snap.
This heavy-duty snap is a classic in the working dog world. It locks closed with the turn of a wheel. Release the lock and the snap can be opened even under load.
Available for two material widths:
- 3/4 inch (19.5 mm) wide
- 1 inch (25.4 mm) wide
Please Note: Only available in bronze (gold color). Optional “Repair kit” is available if you would like to replace your own leash hardware.
Hardware only: If you are purchasing just the snap, please select “hardware only.” (Please do NOT select “add” unless we are making you a new leash with this snap.) Buy 6 or more and save!
If you would like to modify/upgrade the hardware on a new leash order, select “Add to my leash order.” The snap will replace the standard hardware on the “dog end” of the leash (price reflects the CHANGE of hardware), and all hardware on the leash will be brass. This price is only valid when REPLACING another piece of hardware.

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and global economy, the cost of raw materials has increased drastically since 2020.
In the past we have absorbed the majority of cost increases as we waited for global supply issues to even out.
