Antlers are the BEST natural dog chew ever–Dogs simply love them! Antlers are the LONGEST LASTING natural chew available and are full of trace minerals and protein. Antlers last longer than bones and are safer because they don’t splinter or fragment into sharp shards or cause digestive troubles like other chews can. Antlers are also softer on the teeth than beef bones. Plus they’ll never stain your carpet or get stinky!
Our sizes are generous (larger than others!) and competitively priced. Whole round antlers are the longest lasting. Split antlers, sliced lengthwise to expose the softer center, are more enticing.
We’ve sourced the best quality Rocky Mountain natural sheds (elk shed their antlers once a year) and cut them into doggie pleasing sizes. Locally sourced in Colorado!
NOTE: Each piece is unique: color, shape, weight, density and size will vary. Please allow us to select a nice antler for you. Images show a sampling of our antlers for reference.
The actual amount of time it takes your dog to get through the antler will depend on the individual dog AND the individual antler as natural products can vary. It will take some time, but when your dog has gnawed the antler to a size that fits inside his mouth, discard the remainder to eliminate a choking hazard. As with any toy or chew, you should always supervise your dog to be sure it is safe.
Antlers are sometimes inaccurately referred to as “deer horn” or “elk horn”, but antlers are shed and regrown annually unlike horns which have a bone core and are permanent. We only offer Elk because it’s better for dogs; Deer antler is too hard.
The following sizes are available:
- Small Antler Chews: Sized for small breeds (up to 30 pounds). Approx. 4-6″ long, up to 1″ in diameter.
- Medium Antler Chews: Sized for medium breeds (up to 60 pounds). Approx. 5-6″ long, up to 1.25″ in diameter.
- Large Antler Chews: Sized for large breeds (up to 90 pounds), and any smaller dog that likes to chew. Approx. 7-8″ long, up to 1.5″ diameter.
- Extra Large Antler Chews: Sized for large/giant breeds. Approx. 8-10″ long, up to 2.5″ in diameter. Best for power chewers!
Available in whole round antlers OR split antlers.Â

Wow! My dogs never really liked the pet store antlers. I took a chance and ordered a large one just to see if they would like it. I just opened it about 5 minutes ago and they both can’t stop playing and passing it back and forth to chew. Now that I know they love it I’m going to have to order more. Thank you!

My 3 dogs, my grand puppy who visits every day, and I agree with all the previous comments. These antlers are far superior to anything the pet stores sell, and yet they are a lot cheaper for the size. They last for months, and yet they are chewed on many times every day by powerful chewers. They are the dogs’ favorite go-to chew/toy. I have to have more than one around as if one dog sets it down untouched on the floor for even a second, another dog has swooped in to steal it! As has been stated, they don’t splinter, break off into smaller dangerous pieces, smell, get slimy, or stain the white parts of the rug. I cannot recommend these highly enough (and we’ve worked our way through 8 or more over the last couple of years). The grand puppy is chewing one as I write! They seem expensive, but they are well worth the money. You will not be disappointed. I am so grateful to have found BoldLead Designs because of these and the 8-point leashes. Thank you so much!

This is my dog’s all-time favorite elk antler (XL). It has held up VERY well to a dog who can destroy even a Nylabone Dinosaur in ONE DAY. But, months later, he still loves this antler. Thank you so much.

My dog’s favorite chew! He is a strong chewer and these hold up to his chewing. They last him about a year. They are great for his teeth, at his last check up the vet said his teeth look great. He’s not a fan of brushing but he does chew on his antler everyday. I love that they last a long time and don’t smell or get slimy. Well worth the money!

My dogs love these! There is one in each crate, and a lot of the time someone is carrying his around the house. My son recently adopted a VERY large breed puppy, and the only thing saving the furniture when he visits us is the antler chews he prefers to wood (thank goodness!) I used to buy antlers from the pet supply stores, but they didn’t last like these do. If you have chewers, these are a must.

Absolutely LOVE these chews. I have three dogs, two are power chewers, and they’ve barely made a dent in these. They’re durable, and the dogs just love them. They are much higher quality than the ones that are available in the pet stores and WELL worth the money! I’d recommend them to anyone that has dogs that like to chew.
