Condition Grade and Notes:

Bargain MSH saddles have regular support bars for handles up to 8" tall (unless specified as a TALL)

TALL support bars are thicker and can accomodate taller handles

As-Is these items may show more noticible imperfections or irregularities and are exempt from warranty. These saddles can accomodate Pull-Rings and Support Pull handles UNLESS specifically stated. Price reflects the condition.

Seconds: these "second quality" items are nice saddles with only minor flaws that were not good enough for a custom order. Seconds DO COME WITH THE REGULAR WARRANTY! These are stamped with a #2 to identify them should you need service in the future. These saddles can accomodate Pull-Rings and Support Pull handles

Old Style: uses knobs (not bolts) for the handle, and made before lower D-rings were available; cannot accomodate a Support-Pull Handle OR Pull-rings. Knobs/Wing Nuts are included.

NO Pull-Rings means it is not Pull-Ring Compatible. The harness cannot accomodate the Pull-Ring option to fold the handle. 

This is the saddle only, not a complete harness. No straps or handles are included.

To make a complete harness you will need all of these componants:

  • Breastplate
  • Girth Strap
  • Belly Strap
  • Rigid metal handle
  • Bolts for the handle

The chart below can help you determine the harness size you need. Be sure the dog meets or exceeds the Minimum Measurements, or the harness will not fit. Weight and girth measurement are the most important. 

ABSOLUTE MINMUM SIZE REQUIREMENT: This harness will NOT fit dogs that are smaller than the minimum recommended 45 pounds, 21inches tall, or with a girth size less than 28 inches.

Color

Harness color:

• Black: Solid black latigo leather is our standard offering. This leather wears beautifully over time, does not fade, and hides the appearance of scuffs and scratches
• London Tan: Gorgeous vegetable-tanned Bridle leather. Color and shades will vary; each part of harness may be a different shade. Tan leather naturally appears rustic and may show scuffs and wear over time; color may darken with use over time.

Before you buy:

Please read the information in the BAH-MSH Complete Information Booklet, all information on the product page, and view the accompanying videos to thoroughly to understand what you are purchasing.

Measure and decide what features are critical for you before you purchase. It is very important to measure your dog and determine what size they need for each harness component. You also need to measure the person who will use the harness to determine the handle size. Follow the measuring instructions in the info booklet and on BLD’s website.

Be sure the harness saddle is made to accommodate the handle(s) you need. Harness saddles can only accommodate handles as described. Handle attachment mounts cannot be changed.

Straps Sizing Notes:

Straps have several inches of adjustment range. All harness strap measurements are taken from the center adjustment hole. There is 1.5-2” of adjustment smaller and larger from the given measurement. For example: a 30” girth strap adjusts from 28 to 32”. This means you can buy a strap that’s within 1 ½” of the dog’s actual measurements for a good fit (assuming the measurement is accurate).

New Replacement Parts are Available:

New, made-to-order harness components, including handles, straps, and the harness saddle itself can be purchased anytime at the regular online price. If the part you need, an MSH Belly Strap for example, is not available in the size you need, you can order a new one to complete or refit your harness.
