We want your BLD gear to last for life, and we’ll stand by it every step of the way. Our handcrafted leather and Brahma products are guaranteed for life against defects in materials and craftsmanship.
What’s Covered:
Materials, craftsmanship, overall quality and durability of leashes, collars, harnesses and accessories made in our Colorado workshop from Brahma or leather.
- Materials - quality of leather, leather flaws, quality of hardware, broken or dysfunctional hardware, etc. that occur during normal use
- Workmanship - quality of selected leather, broken thread, quality work, production errors that affects function
- Repairs or replacements for covered issues — no time limit
What’s Not Covered:
Things outside of our control are excluded from the warranty.
- Chewing, external damage
- Misuse, neglect or accidents
- Normal wear and tear, cosmetic changes like patina or color fade
- Damage from alteration or third-party repair
- Shipping costs (in most circumstances)
- Items sold as-is, with imperfections, on clearance, and products donated or marked with a star are exempt from all warranties and guarantees
Customer Responsibility:
- Shipping costs both ways
- For non-covered breakage or damage, repairs are available at an affordable cost

Great Fit Guarantee & Lifetime Coverage for Custom Harnesses
Every custom-made service or assistance harness includes both our Great Fit Guarantee and Lifetime Warranty for workmanship and materials.
Great Fit Guarantee (first 4 weeks):
- Free adjustments or replacement parts within four weeks of delivery.
- BLD covers shipping if the error is ours.
- If incorrect measurements were provided, we’ll still refit — you only pay shipping or any price difference.
- Most adjustments are quick strap swaps.
- Follow our measuring guide for the best fit.
Lifetime Warranty for Custom Harnesses:
- Harnesses are guaranteed for life against material or craftsmanship defects.
- Repairs and replacements are free under normal use.
- Customer pays shipping for warranty claims.
- Replacement parts always available beyond warranty.
No Returns or Refunds:
Because each harness is custom-made, we can’t accept returns or refunds once production begins.
Alternatives:
Many customers resell their harnesses or order replacement parts to refit.
Warranty & Repair Service
Repairs and alterations are available — even for non-warranty issues like chewing or accidental damage.
How to Start a Repair:
1️⃣ Email photos of the item and a brief description of the issue to orders@boldleaddesigns.com.
2️⃣ We’ll review and confirm whether it qualifies under warranty or as a standard paid repair.
3️⃣ Include the printed Warranty Repair Form or your contact info and notes inside the package.

- Warranty and non-warranty repairs
- Handle or strap refurbishment
- Hardware replacement
- Fixing chewed or broken leashes
- Adding custom modifications or features
- Cleaning and conditioning (included with repairs)

Coverage for Fabric, Nylon & Accessory Items
Our lifetime warranty applies to leather and Brahma gear only. Some items carry a 30-day coverage for workmanship and materials.
Covered for 30 Days:
- Fabric and nylon products (Perfect Pace, cape vests, training tools)
- Accessories or items from other manufacturers
Not Covered:
- Clearance or “as-is” items
- Custom options marked with a star (*)
- Products not made in the BLD workshop

A Well-Loved Leash Restored
This tan leather leash had been used for years before it snapped. We shortened it slightly, re-braided the end, added a new bolt snap, and fully reconditioned it — now it’s better than new and ready for years more service.
