Warranty for Accessories, etc.

Accessories, cape-vests, woven and nylon Prefect Pace, items make of fabric, and items produced by other manufacturers are warrantied for 30 days for workmanship and materials, and are covered by our 30 day Satisfaction Guarantee.

BLD BASICS

Our bld BASICS product line have a one year warranty from date of purchase. (Basics were discontinued in December 2024.)

Bold Lead Designs’ Famous Lifetime Warranty

We stand behind the quality of our products. Bold Lead Designs’ handcrafted leather & Brahma products that we make in our workshop are guaranteed against defects in materials and craftsmanship for life!
If your leather or Brahma leash, training equipment, or harness ever breaks or is damaged from regular use, simply contact Bold Lead Designs for a replacement or repair at no charge. There is no time limit. This is the best warranty in the industry.
Warranty is limited to replacement or repair of covered product only, and does not cover things outside of our control such as chewing, neglect, misuse, normal wear, external trauma or damage from an accident, or customer alterations. Customer is responsible for all related shipping costs.
FYI: Even if the item is not covered it often can be made functional again with a repair for a reasonable cost.
Exclusions: Items we don’t make in our workshop, such as accessories and consumable items, and items made of cloth/fabric are excluded. Non-leather and non-Brahma items, bldBASICS, any item sold  "as-is", used, on clearance, that is imperfect and any item marked with a star is excluded from this warranty or guarantee. Some customized options may be excluded from warranty; such excluded items will be sold with information indicating a warranty is not included.

Limitation of Damages

Guarantee/Warranty is limited to replacement or repair of product only. Bold Lead Designs, LLC, or its associates, cannot be responsible for any claims or liabilities beyond the scope of the guarantee. Chewing, neglect and misuse, normal wear, external trauma, customer alterations, and items marked with a star void all warranties. No other warranties, expressed or implied, are made. User assumes all responsibility for proper and safe use of product and care of animal. Customer pays for shipping for warranty claims. This warranty is nontransferable. Bold Lead Designs reserves the right to determine if a repair or replacement is covered by our warranty.

Service/Assistance Dog Harness Guarantee and Warranty

Our famous Lifetime Warranty and legendary customer support is standard with every custom-made BLD service/assistance dog harness.

Great Fit Guarantee:

Fitting service is included with every new, custom-made harnesses during the first four weeks!
  • If a fit adjustment is needed, we will correct it at no cost to you.
  • Includes adjustment and new parts, if necessary, within four weeks of delivery. 
  • If the mistake is ours, Bold Leads will cover the shipping
  • If inaccurate details were given when the order was placed, we will still make the correction, but you would pay for the shipping and any price difference if applicable
  • FYI, most refits involve exchanging a strap, we make it as easy as we can!
  • Please pay special attention to the sizing guidelines and recommendations regarding age, health and fitness. Fit and performance of the harness can only be guaranteed if our guidelines are followed. (For example, if your dog is smaller than the weight and measurement range listed, the harness will not fit.)

  • If your BLD harness ever breaks or is damaged from regular use due to materials or craftsmanship flaws, contact Bold Lead Designs for a replacement or repair at no charge. There is no time limit.
  • Customer is responsible for shipping charges for warranty claims.
  • Warranty does not cover things we cannot control, including chewing, damage from an accident, or customer alterations.
  • Repairs or replacement components are always available! Even if you're outside of the Fit Guarantee window, or need a non-warranty repair, we're here for support.

No Returns or Refunds on Harnesses:

Due to the custom nature of these specialized harnesses, and the labor intensive services we provide, there are no refunds or returns are accepted on service/assistance dog harnesses.

Make a warranty claim or request a repair

Repairs and alterations are available, even for chewing and external damage! Get the most out of your equipment investment by having your gear restored to a functional condition.

What to do: Before you send your item to us, please contact us first. Tell us what product you have and what the issue is. If you can, please email us photos of the damage so that we can suggest the best solution (repair, replacement, or something else). Usually we will have you mail the item to us, in which case we ask that you send the item to us with a completed Warranty-Repair Form. Please download, fill it in, print, and include with your return.

Once we have your item in the shop we’ll assess the issue, determine the best approach and offer you choices if there’s more than one option, and provide you with an accurate quote for the service. We will ensure your gear is safe to use; If we believe the structural integrity is compromised beyond repair or has just reached the end of its lifespan, we will recommend replacement rather than a repair.

All warranty claims and repairs must be accompanied by the warranty/repair form, otherwise we won’t know what to do with your item when received. If you don’t have a printer, you may write out all the pertinent information on a paper and include it with the item.

Repairs and restoration services are available:

  • Warranty AND non-warranty repairs 
  • Making a change: adding a feature or custom modification
  • Fixing a broken leash, including chewing damage!
  • Removing the damage and re-assembling, or adding replacement material
  • Replacing broken/damaged hardware, or changing to a different style
  • Refurbishing a harnesses, including replacing MSH support bars
  • Changing latch styles on a harness
  • A basic cleaning and conditioning is included with all repair services!
  • Harness re-fits: replacement straps, handles, and parts are available here in our shop.

If the product sustained damage under normal use, and is covered under warranty, we will make it right at no charge (just pay for shipping).

Non Warranty Repairs start at $10 plus shipping.

Customer is responsible for all related shipping costs. We only offer service on BLD product (not items from other manufacturers).

A well-loved leash restored

This tan leather leash had snapped in two, and was in need of some attention. It was our customer’s favorite leash, she was devastated when it broke! We removed the damaged leather, braided it back together, added a new bolt snap, and gave it a good cleaning and conditioning. Now it’s better than new!
