Woven Safety Cords are made from a soft, lightweight tubular material. Woven Safety cords are 3/8 inch wide (9.5 mm.) and 9.5 inches long (24.1 cm.) including the bolt snap. Best choice for smaller width leashes.

Nylon Safety Cords are great for large to giant dogs; made from premium tubular nylon material and have a larger snap for extra strength and durability. Smooth Nylon Safety Cords 1/2 inch wide (12.7 mm.) and 10.5 inches long (26.7 cm.).

Flat Safety Cords are made from nylon webbing. Flat Safety Cords are 1/2 inch wide (12.7 mm.) and 9.75 inches long (24.8 cm.) including the bolt snap. Sturdy and resists fraying.

All varieties have lightweight zinc bolt snaps. Flat and nylon varieties are handmade in Colorado; woven variety made in Texas to BLD’s specifications.

How to use:

Attach the Safety Cord to your leash: feed the material through the eye on the leash snap; then take the Safety Cord snap and pass it through through the loop at the end (the Safety Cord stays attached to the leash so you only need to do this once)
Connect your leash to the collar or harness as usual
Finally, clip the safety cord to a different collar or harness
Enjoy your walk!
