A safer alternative to retractable leashes, this light line is perfect where freedom to wander is desired but being off-leash is dangerous. Skip the gross nylon webbing and ropes; this waterproof material shakes off muck. Artisan handcrafted in our own workshop. Made in Colorado, USA!
The Skinny Brahma material is perfectly sized for small dogs or puppies. It's a wonderful leather-alternative that is waterproof, weatherproof, and very durable, especially for it's dainty size.

Sizing
Width:
Brahma XS is of 3/8” (9.5 mm) wide, only available in black (for dogs under 30 pounds)
NOTE: This is a very lightweight and skinny leash. Do not use on large, strong, or aggressive dogs, or as a tie out. Custom Leads are not eligible for refunds or returns.
If you are looking for thicker Brahma in 1/2 in. or 3/4 in. widths, click here.
Length:
Established lengths include: 4ft, 6ft, 8ft, 10ft, 15ft, 20ft, 33ft, and 50ft.
If you need a length that is not listed: Order the next size up and under other Other Custom Requests write in the desired length. (Example: if you want 25 feet, order the 33 ft.)
Handle Styles
Handle Styles Available:
- Regular Loop Handle (most popular!)
- Regular Loop Handle with a loose O-ring in the handle loop
- End in an O-Ring (no handle loop)
- No Handle (no handle loop or hardware): Great for Tracking leads and check cords!
Hardware
We only have premium quality hardware in our workshop. Bolt snaps are our standard leash snaps, available in solid brass and stainless steel.
Specialty hardware for this small size include our exclusive Locking Carabiner Snap, and a tiny spring/lever snap made in Germany.
(Tiny sprig/lever snap only fits on small gage D-rings, it won't fit the heavy rings on bulky dog gear. It does fit our small and extra small collars!)

Did you know BLD products are designed to be repaired instead of replaced? Even if the item is not covered by our warranty (like for chewing), most damaged leashes can be repaired and made functional for a nominal fee.

Brahma is a coated webbing material constructed with poly webbing on the inside and a durable PVC coating on the outside. This material can take a beating through brush, muck, and saltwater.

Originally developed for the horse and ranch industry, it's incredibly strong and will last a lifetime.
Caring for Brahma: Requires nothing special. Feel free to store it in your vehicle: it's unaffected by intense summer heat! It's super easy to clean, just dip it in a creek to rinse off the grime, or wash with soap and water (dish soap works great).
P.S. Coated webbings are sold under different brand names, like Biothane© and Brahma soft grip. We prefer the texture, durability, and performance of Brahma soft grip.
