I purchased my Brahma Basics leash (the teal) in September 2020 and up till losing it on a trip five months ago, it was my most used leash. It is lightweight and strong (I’ve used it on dogs up to 65 pounds and as light as 18), and held up extremely well to being drug through the mud and snow. The extra O ring fits a clicker, light, or a poopbag holder nicely.
I am on the autism spectrum and especially appreciate the texture of the material used to make the leash. I find the texture calming to rub, and is the best texture for me to grip when in wet conditions (wet nylon is the bane of my existence and this won’t give you rope burn). I recommend at trying it if you have texture sensitivities, as leather can be even nicer, but has higher maintenance needs.
I don’t recommend using harsh cleaning products on the leash, but as a service dog handler, having a leash that is easy to wipe down (I used a baby wipe, then a damp paper towel) made errands much easier, and reduces my stress a lot when encountering unhygienic environments.
It was 15 dollars when I first purchased it and I feel the current price of 18 dollars is well worth a leash of this quality. I am excited to get a second leash and hopefully will not lose it!
