Change Hardware on my BLD Leash Order

Yes. We customize leashes!

Add this item to your cart along with the leash or collar you want to have customized. You can change the hardware color, or change the snap at ONE end of a leash. This product only applies to Bold Lead Designs orders.

• Bolt snaps are our standard hardware, as these are the most reliable and durable hardware we’ve found.
• Standard hardware color: All Brahma and black leather comes with stainless steel (silver) hardware. Tan leather comes with solid Brass hardware. 
• Order one “other hardware”

Custom Hardware:

Order one snap, and we’ll place it at the “dog end” of the leash. Order a quantity of two if you want BOTH ends of a multifunctional leash changed. The option you choose will change both the color and style of the hardware–we’ll make all hardware on your leash match the color of the snap you choose! 

• Scissor / Trigger: Available in Stainless Steel in 1/2″ wide and larger.  However, in our experience, this is a less reliable hardware choice. Not recommended if you are looking for a super secure snap. Consider using a Safety Cord as a backup attachment.
• Locking Carabiner: This is a fantastic choice for security. This solid brass snap is a BLD exclusive, hard-to-find snap that we have custom fabricated! After you clip this snap to your dog’s collar/harness, turn the lock to close the snap completely. The lock must be unscrewed to open the snap. Be sure to close the snap completely when in use. Solid brass (gold color) available in all sizes.
• Alligator Locking Jaw Snap: This is a specialty snap made-in-Italy, the jaws lock closed so the snap does not come off the collar/harness. Italian Bronze (gold color) XL 3/4″ width only. This is a weighty, heavy duty snap.

Notes about changing hardware: 

Examples:

• Order “change the hardware color” for a tan leash to get silver hardware
• Order “change the hardware color” for a black leash to get brass hardware
• Order an alligator snap on Brahma and we’ll put the custom snap at the dog end, and make all the hardware brass to match
• Order x2 scissor snaps on an 8-Way Lead and we’ll put them on both ends of the leash and make all the hardware stainless steel to match
